Our read of the five docs you sent on October 28, the questions only your team can settle, and what happens between now and the first send.
For Chris Pelissier · Monday, November 2, 2026 · Working draft for discussion
Variations across mailboxes, the fields in your sequences, and one set of audience numbers and proof lines.
Which triggers run on lists we build, which need your data, and how a tight ICP fits the sending volume.
How a yes gets answered, the setup items still open, the road to the first send, and the decisions for today.
The bar Mitch set for this first stage, October 28
"I want to tackle making sure we are happy with the messaging and domain quality prior to moving forward and adding more complexity."
Our notes on all five docs, and the questions only you and Mitch can settle (slides 4 to 9).
Your login to the sending workspace, the copy with its variations for your sign-off, and the list of domain names on the day they are bought (slides 10 and 11).
Each sentence gets two to four versions with the same meaning. Your call to action stays yours. Each mailbox draws a different mix, so no two sends match. You sign off every option before anything sends, as section 5 of the agreement sets out.
Spin options sit in braces split by bars. Fields such as {Competitor Newsletter} fill from the lead's own row. Source: Superhuman AI Outbound Sequences (All Personas), trigger 1, Demand Gen persona, Email 1, read November 2, 2026.
| One field, two names | Uses |
|---|---|
{Competitor Newsletter}{Competitive Newsletter} | 9 6 |
{Name}{First Name} | 180 3 |
{job titles}{Job Titles} | 12 5 |
{Relevant KPI}{Releavant KPI} | 8 1 |
Each pair gets one name before load, so no email goes out with a raw field in it.
{Company}, {Product}, {Competitor Newsletter}, {Event}, {Old Company}, {New Company} and the like. These come from the trigger list for each lead, so each trigger's list carries the columns its sequence needs.
{Reference KPI Hypothesis}, {Your honest take on it}, {why it matters right now}, {Plain take on what it does}. These are a short line written for each lead from their trigger and their own pages. The rules for those lines come to you with the copy, alongside a sample of real lines to sign off.
Counts are exact text matches in Superhuman AI Outbound Sequences (All Personas), read November 2, 2026. More than 60 distinct names appear in braces in that doc.

Which of these may run in cold email, and in which words?
Every figure on this slide is Superhuman AI's own, quoted from the docs you sent on October 28 (read November 2, 2026) and from the claim set Mitch signed off in writing on July 14, 2026. In July, "Google renewed four times" was kept out of email copy.

Your doc numbers the triggers 1 to 11 with no 7, across three personas: Demand Gen (MOFU/BOFU), Executive and TOFU. The agreement says 11 triggers across four personas. What is trigger 7? Is the Agency and Tutorial set the fourth persona?
The agreement passes us only the accounts each AE owns. So for these five, your AEs run them by hand, or we agree in writing what passes to us. Which do you want, and which CRM holds the AE-owned accounts?
Source: Superhuman AI Outbound Sequences (All Personas): 10 numbered triggers, 3 personas, 6 touches each on days 1, 2, 5, 8, 10 and 17, so 30 sequences. Read November 2, 2026.
Emails a weekday at most once warm, across 1,700 mailboxes (the agreement).
Per person over 17 days, in every sequence (your sequences doc).
At most, staggered, with one publication per email (your ICP).
"An active paid signal is required... No signal, no sequence." (your ICP).
| Option | What it means |
|---|---|
| A. Trigger-led only | Every email starts from one of the ten triggers. Volume runs at what the triggers supply, which may sit below the ceiling. |
| B. A second lane without a live trigger | Your ICP ranks 1 to 5 (your doc: "Stick to ranks 1 to 5 for most of the volume"), with copy written for a cold opener rather than a trigger. |
| C. The wider signals your ICP already lists | Podcast ads, hiring for demand gen or growth, and a new marketing leader are on your signal list but have no sequence yet. Each becomes a trigger with its own sequence. |
Your ICP rules out "Agencies, consultancies and dev shops". Your Agency and Tutorial doc writes to agencies. Which wins? If agencies are in, do they run as their own small lane?
A positive reply gets the AE's media kit page. In your words on October 28, "it's a landing page and each has the AE's calendar". Your new deck builder makes a custom deck with placement mockups in about 10 minutes.
On our own campaigns from October 19 to 22, 2026, we have achieved an answer to half of all yeses within about 7 minutes.
Speed base: median 6.9 minutes from reply to answer, across 33 yeses on ECG's own outreach, October 19 to 22, 2026 (ECG's own reply records). The page for every yes is built with you on your campaign ideation tool, and you sign off the template once before the first page goes out.
| # | Item | Why it matters | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | The names the mailboxes send as | Each mailbox sends under a name you give us, and warm-up runs under that name | Open |
| 2 | Which AE takes which trigger and persona | Sets where each yes goes, with its thread and page | Open |
| 3 | The booking link for each AE | Goes on each AE's page and in the yes answer | In progress, per your October 28 note |
| 4 | Noah's media kit | Noah's yeses need a page of their own | In progress, per your October 28 note |
| 5 | The accounts each AE owns, and the CRM they come from | Every one comes off every list before it sends | Open |
| 6 | AE inboxes, their own login or replies routed to them | Agreed in writing at setup, then built and warmed | Open |
| 7 | Mitch's short video for the yes page | The page runs without it until it arrives | When ready |
Your login to the sending workspace, where you see the campaigns, the sending and the replies.
The full copy with variations, the yes answer and the page template, for your sign-off.
The list of domain names, on the day the domains are bought.
This session with you, on the copy, the replies and what to change.
A short written report with the emails sent each weekday, the replies, the yeses passed to the AEs, and the sponsors you tell us signed from them.
The first-send date is fixed on the day the domains are bought, and you hear it from us that day.
Steps and timings from the agreement of October 26, 2026, sections 2 and 3.
| # | Decision | The options | Who settles it |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | One set of audience numbers for both newsletters | The July set, the Tight ICP set, or a new set | Chris |
| 2 | Which results run in cold email, in which words | Claude Opus clicks, the 3.9 million line, Glean, Guidde, named logos | Chris |
| 3 | Trigger 7, the fourth persona, and the five triggers that start from your data | A missing trigger, or a numbering gap; Agency and Tutorial as persona four, or not; the five data triggers run by your AEs by hand, or a written change on what passes to us | Chris, with Mitch |
| 4 | The volume rule | A, trigger-led only. B, a second lane on ICP ranks 1 to 5. C, the wider signals as new triggers | Chris, with Mitch |
| 5 | Agencies | Out, as the ICP says, or in as their own small lane | Chris, with Mitch |
| 6 | The yes flow | Page, deck, or both; the deck for every yes or higher value accounts only | Chris |
| 7 | AE routing and sender names | Which AE takes which trigger and persona, and the name each mailbox sends as | Chris |
Next session, Monday, November 9. 8:30 or 9:30 am Eastern, whichever suits you best. Anything that needs Mitch's yes goes to him in writing after today.
